School Visits and Partnership Signing in Brussels for EUROPACE Project

The European School Sport Federation (ESSF) continues to expand its network of partnerships across Europe with a successful visit to Belgium, where key meetings were held with partner schools involved in the upcoming EUROPACE project, supported by the European Commission.
ESSF Sport Director Gorica Bilak-Moconja and ESSF Board of Directors member Gligor Hristov visited three educational institutions:
- Don Bosco Halle STEM
- Don Bosco Instituut Halle
- GO! Atheneum Aalst
During their time in Belgium, the ESSF representatives toured school campuses and evaluated the available sports facilities. The focus was on exchanging best practices and preparing for future activities aimed at enhancing school sport across Europe.
A significant milestone of the visit was the signing of official partnership agreements with all three schools, marking the beginning of closer collaboration in the field of physical education and youth engagement.
“We are very pleased to collaborate with these schools and their committed teaching staff. Their openness, energy, and professionalism will contribute greatly to our shared goals,” stated Gorica Bilak-Moconja.
These partnerships will play an important role in the upcoming Digital School Sport Day, planned for 25th September 2025, as part of broader efforts to promote innovation and inclusion in school sport using digital tools and cross-border cooperation.
ESSF is proud to work with schools and educators who believe in the power of sport to inspire, educate, and connect students throughout Europe.
