ESSF President Visits Republic of Srpska to Celebrate 23 Years of School Sport

ESSF President Željko Tanasković visited the Republic of Srpska to mark the celebration of 23 years of school sport.
During his visit, he met with representatives of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports, including Minister Selma Čabrić, as well as with Gorica Bilak-Moconja, President of the Republic of Srpska School Sport Federation.

On this occasion, they signed the License Agreement for the ESSF European Open Championship Futsal U18, which will be held in Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska, from 10–16 May 2026.

Mr. Tanasković expressed his gratitude for the Republic of Srpska’s long-standing and active participation in European school sport since the foundation of ESSF. The Republic of Srpska was also the host of the first-ever ESSF Championship ESC Volleyball U18 in Trebinje.

As part of his visit, President Tanasković also toured the Sports Museum in Banja Luka, where an exhibition dedicated to school sport has been on display for the past five months, featuring items from both ESSF and ISF collections. He also shared his impressions and appreciation in the museum’s guest book.
