
ESSF Leadership Meets Türkiye’s Minister of Youth and Sports in Bursa
The European School Sport Federation (ESSF) leadership held an important meeting in Bursa, Türkiye, focused on strengthening cooperation and supporting the further development of schoolsport across Europe.
Türkiye’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak, welcomed ESSF President Ivan Dujic and ESSF Secretary General/CEO Stelios Daskalakis. They were joined by Mr. Ilhan Demir, Head of the School Sport Department at the Turkish Ministry of Sport, Press Advisor of the Minister and ESSF Board Member.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the current development of school sport in Europe and discussed opportunities for closer cooperation between ESSF and Türkiye.

The discussions focused on future initiatives, stronger international collaboration, and the creation of new opportunities for young people through school sport. Several important directions and decisions regarding the future development of ESSF activities and cooperation with Türkiye were also addressed.
Türkiye continues to play an important role within the European school sport community, with its experience, institutional support and commitment contributing to the development of international school sport activities.
ESSF looks forward to further strengthening this cooperation and working closely with its partners in Türkiye to promote school sport, education, international exchange and opportunities for young people across Europe.
