ESSF and EUSA Sign MoU
Ljubljana, Slovenia – 27 October 2026.
The European School Sport Federation (ESSF) and the
European University Sports Association (EUSA) have officially signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU), marking an important step towards closer cooperation and the development
of school and university sport across Europe.
The agreement was signed on 27 October 2026 at the EUSA Office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, by
ESSF President Ivan Dujić and EUSA President Haris Pavletić.
This partnership represents a significant opportunity to strengthen the connection between school
and university sport, creating new possibilities for young athletes to continue their sporting and
educational development.

Through this agreement, ESSF and EUSA aim to:
- Develop joint projects and initiatives supporting sport and education.
- Explore opportunities for cooperation through EU-funded programmes.
- Encourage participation in sporting events, conferences, seminars and educational activities.
- Exchange knowledge, experience and best practices between the two organisations.
- Promote each other’s activities and strengthen communication across their networks.
For ESSF, this cooperation represents another important step in expanding its network of European partners and creating additional opportunities for its member organisations and young athletes.
By combining their experience and resources, both organisations aim to support a stronger andmore connected European sporting community, encouraging the transition from school sport to university sport and promoting the values of education, fair play and international cooperation.
ESSF looks forward to working closely with EUSA and transforming this partnership into meaningful initiatives and opportunities for young people across Europe.
